A Serious problem in WordPress:Categories and tags are disappeared !!!

Hi friends.

How many of you are using WordPress? I am using WordPress to run this blog.Here i want to discuss a very dangerous problem in WordPress.May be this is an old problem but it is a serious one.Upto my search there is no solution for this.

Before two days i.e, on 27th September 2009 ,when i logged in my admin account and try to post a new post, i came to know that all my Categories are disappeared.When i tried to add a categorie , it is not possible.And when i goto edit posts and saw my posts they all are under uncategorized section.There are no more tags.

I shocked because i worked very hard to categorise and adding tags.But now everything showing uncategorised.So i went to wordpress.org support forum and make a post about it.Here it is

But i waited a long time.But i didnt get any support.So i start searching the WordPress forum for the related posts.There i got another post.Here it is

This is same as my problem.So i read that post.I waited for some time.But i didnt do any thing.Just i waited.

Then after 24hrs everything is fine.All categories are appeared now.All tags are tagged for correct posts.Everything fine now.
But the thing is we shouldn’t take it as simple thing.I think it is a security issue with WordPress or the plugins that works on wordpress.We have to think of it and we have to fix it.

That’s the reason why i posted this post..But i dont know why WordPress has no answer for this problem.I posted in the forum.But i dont get any support there.If anyone of you know the reason and solution for this problem please share with us.

wow, the very worst thing i know is that I am not alone. many bloggers have the same problems here, but when I tried to access categories.php?action=edit&cat_ID=1 it's said "NOT FOUND" in my blog. I have many blogs hosted in the same place and experiencing this same issues, is there any quickest way to fix this? all of my blogs have no categories now :( please help!!!!

I too keep getting this problem. Really frustrating. I think it might be relating to the database as the last time this happened a server restart solved the problem.
