A new Ebook war started with Amazon’s shocking decision by removing Macmillan the world’s one of the largest ebook publisher from Amazon store.As VentureBeat reported on Friday evening books from Macmillan, one of the largest publishers in the United States, have vanished from Amazon.com.
Not every Macmillan book is gone, but popular ones such as The Gathering Storm are no longer sold by Amazon, either in physical or Kindle form. You can still find the Amazon pages for Macmillan’s books — you just can’t order the real books.
Why Amazon removed Macmillan from Store?

According to New York Times,Macmillan asked Amazon to raise the prices of some books from $9.99 to $15.Amazon is expressing its strong disagreement by temporarily removing Macmillan books, said this person, who did not want to be quoted by name because of the sensitivity of the matter.
Macmillan is one of the publishers signed on to offer books to Apple, as part of its new iBook store.According to this agreement, Macmillan can set their own prices to sell their books on iBook store.This is the main reason Amazon removed Macmillan from Store.
Macmillan has not yet returned a request for comment. Amazon refused to comment.
