Then it is not difficult,here is the way.Gabriel Adam Jones released a twitter WordPress theme.It looks like twitter.com.You cannot detect any changes between twitter and this theme when you applied it to your website.He named it as TweetPress.Here is the screenshot.

Twitter is huge and if you could build a similar site in just a matter of minutes then that's really amazing. But if i were to build a similar site, i'm gonna do my best to improve the idea even if it is almost impossible to do. I think having a similar site is good but to have an improve version of it is much better.

Interesting! I'm sure not everyone would agree with your points on creat my own website but then we all do things differently. I think Create a Twitter Like WebSite in just 10 min | DevilsDuke.com brought up some valid issues.
