Avatar an abstract of Indian epics:review

Avatar is now the world’s hottest topic to discuss.I’v seen the movie today. Here I have something to discuss about Avatar(Avatar an abstract of  Indian epics) and it’s review.

In Hinduism, Avatar means “from heaven to earch”.The term is most often associated with Vishnu.Varying lists of avatars of Vishnu appear in Hindu scriptures, including the ten (da??vat?ra) of the Garuda Purana and the twenty-two avatars in the Bhagavata Purana, though the latter adds that the incarnations of Vishnu are innumerable. The avatars of Vishnu are a primary component of Vaishnavism.

Here, we have to discuss the RamAvatar ,the 10 th Avatar of the lord Vishnu to save the world. The lord Vishnu’s skin is in the color blue, and the Avatar’s of the lord vishnu are also in the color blue. The makeup of the Avatar’s in the Avatar movie is very close to the lord Rama. You can see this in the following images. This is the reason why i pull up a new topic “Avatar an abstract of Indian epics“.India is a great country with great history.

Now let us look at the review of the movie. The negatives of the movie are,

  • To start with, the movie takes place in a planet called “Pandora“, where all living things are connected. If Cameron had attempted some research he would know, immediately,  that Pandora isn’t  really a good name for a planet: Pandora, according to the Greek mythology, was the first woman created by Zeus to punish Men and is described in Homer’s “Iliad” as a “beautiful evil“. You read that right, evil and no, that Homer is not Homer Simpson.
  • The movie  has a lot of loop  holes. When we think of Aliens, if you have read StarTrek books, you can know that, they will use a light saber to fight with others, and they protect their eyes with a glass because their yellow eyes are so sensitive to the light. But where as in the Avatar movie, the sun rises on the next day,the Avatars fly on the sky with alien bird(Harry Potter’s Phoenix mix) ,but sun light has no effect on them.
  • The script is not pretty good in spite of  James Cameron’s 12 years of hardwork.I got bored after watching 30 min of the movie. The twists are predictable. There is no suspense in the movie. We can easily guess the next scene.
  • The action scenes are also not much special.

On the other hand,Avatar has it own positive sides..

  • It earned $73 million in the US and $159.2 million internationally; combined, it’s a $232.2 million worldwide total. It had one of the best opening weekends in the history of cinema. The movie’s production and promotion cost approximately 400 million dollars.
  • The Avatar is amazing in its visual and sound effects. The digital 3D makes you feel that, the scenes happening in front of you.
  • It brings a new Digital Dolby Sound design which is a revolution.

Summary:The movie Avatar an abstract of Indian epics.I suggest you to watch the movie Avatar and enjoy the real 3D effects and Dolby sound effects with a great visual effects.Simply Avatar is a Technical Wonder without a proper script.

Thanks Anusha for helping in writing the review.

Everyone is talking about how watching the film is such a great visual experience… I agree, the effects used were totally mind blowing… But what really made a lasting impact on me was the hidden meaning behind the movie…. Basically on how all life is inter connected. The film got me thinking about nature and my connection with it. Our planet and the harm we are doing to it.. The movie got me questioning myself on my choices that were possibly harming the environment, but more importantly about what I was doing to conserve the environment? I kinda realised that I could help by taking part in some Green Campaigns. I did a google search and found out that a few NGOs registered on Jaago Re are looking out for volunteers for tree plantation drives.
I’m thinking of participating in a drive organised by EDUCATR.
